1988) and CineStructures International Ltd. (in 1995), he held senior
positions at Bernard Engle, Ove Arup & Partners and was a Consultant

Alan Kay has been involved with professional
and broadcast sound and vision for over 30 years.
During this time he has engineered a wide range of facilities for
clients in the U.K., the United States, Europe and South Africa.
These projects include sound studios, television
studios, broadcast transmission suites, edit suites, telecine grading
rooms, film and video preview theatres and computer graphic labs.
All of these projects have been designed
to the highest specifications and in full compliance with national
regulatory requirements. Computer networking technology is very
frequently a key element of modern system installations, and is
an area where our team has great experience and expertise.
Alan’s recent projects have ranged
from international high-availability web-server installations, through
to individual home-automation installations with full remote access,
IP multi-room media access systems and full-specification Internet-based
CCTV security schemes.
Before developing a specification, Alan
always spends time with a client to discuss their expectations in
depth. The specification is then re-presented to the client and
its facilities explained in full to ensure that the finished project
will perform as required by the client organisation.
Alan joined Cinestructures in 2001 as its
Technical Director.
